Violets in February by Clare Revell download in iPad, ePub, pdf
Well written and engaging. He saw radiant joy in her face, he saw the flowers beat against her dress in blue waves.
Lucy is the only doctor in the area for miles around. The words were so foreign that I had a hard time following at times.
Then an apparent rebel gang arrives with an injured leader. Jed is quick to taunt Lucy, needling her with his loud music and loud, salty language. Jeb is a rough around the edges kind of guy and has no time for the Lord. Lucy is exhausted from her tireless work and accidentally falls. Such lovely shy, delicate flowers along with primroses and cowslips.
Jed had a troubled past, being passed from one foster home to another, that left him I really enjoyed the characters and action, as well as the faith message shared in this book. Her boss and aides know that she must seek help at the city hospital. For a moment he contemplated her, as one who had fallen out of heaven. Through this she meets jeb, the transporter of supplies. She looks down on and askance at the brash, swearing bloke who delivers the supplies, Jed Gorman.
Now that she has suffered a serious injury she is reluctant to follow the standard advice. Lucy is reluctant to treat him but her boss reminds her that the mission is there to show mercy and grace to all in need. There is a glossary at the beginning of the book for the Australian terms, but with an ebook, I found it difficult to go back and forth to see what the words meant. She is respected by the staff and the natives.
The bushes above them closed. Taking place on the mission field of Africa, there is much going on. The doctor and the supply delivery man don't seem to be getting on very well. George had turned at the sound of her arrival.
He stepped quickly forward and kissed her. They were a bit extreme but well developed with background that help shaped their personalities. The special flower for the month of February is the violet. The only person available to get her there is Jed. However, an injury puts them in close proximity and look out.
